2000L Pressurized Tank For Solar Water Heater/Heat Pump

2017-10-23T03:45:39+00:00

Merisolar start to make pressurized tank for solar water heaters from 2007, now we can produce from 50L pressurized tank to 10,000L pressurized tank.

This month we did make 3*2000L pressurized tanks for Australia clients, they use the tanks connect with heat pumps for a 5 Start hotel hot water use. Merisolar design the big pressurized tank and use SUS 316, 4mm thickness for inner tank,  use 0.6mm thickness SUS 304 out tank. And give clients 8 years warranty for our pressurized tanks. Merisolar weld tanks from inside of tank and also outside of tank, so double side welding to promise to leaking in the future.

We also did make about 5000*60L pressurized tanks from local heat pump project. Clients use the 60L tanks for underfool heating to warm house. So the pressurized tanks not just work for solar thermal water heaters also can work well for heat pumps. We also can add heat exchange for solar water heater back up and for gas back up.

See below pressure tanks from Merisolar this month.

If you have any solar heating project/heat pump project need help, just contact us, Merisolar always help clients with their problem and slove them. And supply high quality products as you required.

Small magnesium rod protection role within the gallbladder, heating elements

2017-06-03T01:52:33+00:00

Small magnesium rod protection role within the gallbladder, heating elements
Magnesium rods use principle

Magnesium rod, also known as anode rod, its main ingredient is magnesium. In the water heater liner inside it and the liner (the main ingredient is iron) at the same time contact with water, due to the formation of the original chemical principle of the battery. As the water inside the tank is not pure water, the total contains a variety of impurities and has some corrosive, when the water temperature exceeds 40 ° C, it will produce scale. If there is no magnesium anode rod, liner corrosion.

when will we to replace the magnesium rod?

Magnesium ion (Mg +) characteristics and role:

Iron and magnesium can be dissolved in water, but magnesium is more positive than iron, more likely to become magnesium ions (Mg +), that is: because the magnesium metal more live wave, so magnesium was dissolved in water. At this point, magnesium from the magnesium rod and oxygen combination, the corrosion process is over. In other words, magnesium rods are corroded, and the liner is intact.

Water heater does not change the magnesium rod can cause corrosion of leaking liner

Enamel interior electric water heater must be regularly replaced magnesium rod. As the enamel is a special water heater in the steel plate coated with a layer of inorganic ceramic glaze made of, not rusty, the market situation is good. But the enamel liner processing technology requires a higher level, if the level of technology is not enough, the production process prone to bubbles or pinholes, while enamel brittle larger, transportation and installation process of vibration, collision prone to scale explosion phenomenon. In addition, the enamel will gradually dissolve in hot water peeling. Above these factors, will cause the enamel coating of ordinary steel exposed ordinary steel containing carbon, sulfur and other impurities, easy to corrosion leaking liner.

Water heater does not change the magnesium rod can cause leakage

Two days ago to visit a home appliance maintenance department, happened to encounter them are dismantling a factory production of water heaters, said the reason is the water heater leakage. After opening, peel the insulation layer, see a small Zhu never seen the water heater tank, not only “rust” outside “dirty” in the interior and exterior are yellow-green rust, and the heating body has been corrosion Too dilapidated, above the plot also scale. According to the staff, because many times to adjust the leakage protection but the operation is still caused by tripping, so they infer that is the cause of leakage, the result is open to the consequences. Heating has a clear crack in vitro, hot water and heating wire can have direct contact. No wonder the adjustment of leakage protection has no effect.

According to the staff said that in their more common here, this problem, and leakage of the common cause is not the product quality is not good, but long-term use, the anode magnesium rod consumption is complete, the water quality caused by corrosion of stainless steel scaling caused. When asked about the principle, the staff said that the water quality in Beijing generally more rigid, and most of the electric water heater is a steel structure, especially the heating part of the alkaline water quality can easily be encountered corrosion. Therefore, manufacturers in the manufacture, most choose to install magnesium rods, because the magnesium element than iron activity, it can sacrifice magnesium rods and alkaline substances in the water reaction, reducing the corrosion of the heating tube. But the sacrifice of the magnesium rod must be regularly added, otherwise no magnesium rods are consumed when the alkaline substance in the water will begin to erode the heating tube. Resulting in very easy to damage the heating pipe, there are other security risks such as leakage.

Magnesium rod, please remember a year for a change

According to report, consumers in the first purchase of quality, brand consideration again, that this can be done once and for all, in fact, this is the use of electric water heater safety is a big mistake, the water heater does not seem to have any problems, in fact, some The problem is through the accumulation of time it may be revealed. Insiders pointed out that in order to avoid leakage and other accidents occurred, the electric water heater in the magnesium rod should be replaced once a year, 2-3 years if not replace the magnesium rod water heater, the liner is likely to have suffered severe Corrosion, there may be leakage through the leakage, resulting in leakage accident wounding, must be replaced as soon as possible, while in this year to buy water heaters, please replace the magnesium rod.

I did visit lots of different countries and also did see lots of different solar water heater products, i find most products all use the Magnesium rod now, but for most products the magnesium rod is too small, could not last for a long time, once i did visit solarhart, a big flat plate solar water heating factory in Australia ,find their Magnesium rod is quite long, inserch the tank from the end to the top, alomst 1.5 meters long, and they change it each two years. So I suggest all clients combined with your water condition and choose the right one products, some times could not just save money ,and you’d better to pay more to get a good Magnesium rod, that can help with your system and let the products last long life.

Solar Water Heater Project

2017-05-27T01:44:16+00:00

This week, we get an inquiry from a big truck factory. They asked a solar water heating system for 4000L hot water, and the water need to add temperature to more than 85C, and every 4 hours, they need to use all the hotwaters, even the night time aslo need the system working.

Merisolar designed alot of solar project for our clients all over the world, so we help him with the project, the system need two tanks, one storage tank 20 ton,the other tank 5 ton for mix heating, then install 50*SG-30 non-pressurized solar thermal collectors for heating the system, also connect with a heat pump, this heat pump can heating the water to above 85C evern 90C, and COP is about 2.8 , can used in the nigh time to save energy.

Coz the company need to use 4 ton 85C hot water every 4 hours, so the heat efficiency had to be very high. While solar system could not heating 4 ton cold water in 4 hours with just 50-SG system, so we make a 5ton buffer tank to mix water for heating, and storage the hot water in the 20 ton  big tank to insure the clients can have enough water every 4 hours, this system can help clients to save lots of bills.

If you have any solar heating project need help, just contact us, Merisolar always help clients with their problem and slove them.

  1. Notice

1.1 The information in this manual is subject to change without notification. Additional pages may be inserted in future editions. The user is asked to excuse any technical inaccuracies or typographical errors in the present edition. They will not affect the performance of the product or any statutory warranties.

1.2 The series number can be found on packaging, user manual and the storage tank. If there is no series number or the series number is damaged, this product may not be genuine and will not be covered under warranty. Please contact the supplier for more details.

1.3 Please ensure that cold water is not pumped or supplied into an empty tank when the collector area has been exposed to direct sunlight for more than 15 minutes. The solar tubes will become extremely hot and this may result in cracked tubes. Before filling for the first time after installation or if refilling after maintenance, ensure the collector are covered so they don’t overheat. Breakage due to incorrect installation or filling of the tank are not covered by warranty.

1.4  The evacuated glass solar collector tubes can stand temperatures as low as -50°C when there is no water inside. If using this unit in alpine areas prone to long periods of freezing temperatures, we recommend using all the water in the tank every two days if there is no direct sunlight to stop the tank water from freezing.

1.5  Installation needs to be done by a qualified plumber to ensure all local laws and standards are met. Warranty may be void if incorrectly installed.

1.6  The system should be mounted facing north or as close as practical to north. If there is no northern roof available, then the preference is west for domestic installations and east for commercial or day time use of hot water.

1.7  All exposed piping should be insulated properly to prevent heat loss and provide freeze protection. In the areas with ambient temperature under -5°Celsius electric heating wire can be used to avoid frozen pipes.

1.8  Any modifications to the components will void the warranty.

  1. General

2.1  The MeriSolar solar hot water system

The core of these systems is the evacuated tubes.  They collect solar energy all day which heats a special internal coating and around 97% of the heat is retained to create hot water.  The heat transfers to copper pipes which in turn pass the heat to water in the collector tank.  In an integrated system, the water is heated directly and stored without the need for a pump, making it more efficient and generally cheaper to install and operate.

2.2 Evacuated tube technology

Evacuated tubes offer the most efficient way to heat water, especially in southern Australia and cooler climates.  Traditional flat plate solar collectors lose much of their heat to the cold air during the cooler days and nights.  Evacuated tubes act like double glazed windows to prevent the heat escaping from the internal collector surface.  Also, by having a tube rather than a flat plate, the sun can heat the absorber surface at the optimum angle from early morning to late afternoon, not just in the middle of the day.  This increases the overall sunlight able to be collected and turned into hot water.

The evacuated tubes are more resilient to hail and dirt as it glances or rolls off the curved surface rather than hitting or sticking to a flat surface.

The vacuum also allows the solar system to operate at below freezing temperatures.  Many flat plate solar collectors have to pump hot water through the collector to stop it from freezing and cracking as temperatures approach zero, using more energy in the pump and losing much of the hot water gained during the day.

Solar cannot totally replace the need for gas or electric heating as there are sometimes days when there is little sunlight.  Although the heat output of the solar collector is reduced on days when there is little sunlight it will still be able to provide heating.  If it is a heavily clouded day or raining, then more electric boosting may be required to maintain water at the required temperature.  This system will be automated so you don’t have to worry about running out of hot water on a rainy day.  When averaged over a year, a correctly sized solar system can provide 60%-70% of a household’s hot water needs.  Providing more than this is unadvisable, as too much heat will be produced in the summer months.

2.3 Water Heating

Water heating is traditionally done with an insulated metal tank full of water with an electric heating element or gas burner.  Depending on the thermostat setting the water is heated to around 60°-70° Celsius. In order to kill Legionella bacteria, it is an Australian standards requirement that the hot water in the storage tank be heated up to at least 60° Celsius at least once every 24 hours, either while in the storage tank with solar, electric element boost or gas boost.  The electric element on the tank must not be turned off.  Any instruction to a home owner to turn off the electric element is in direct contradiction with national and state regulations.

In order to prevent scalding due to excessively hot water most new houses have a tempering valve installed.  A tempering valve is an important safety device as it controls the temperature of the water supplied to the hot water taps to no greater than 50° Celsius.  If a tempering valve is not installed in the home the plumber should advise that a tempering valve be installed and/or install one.

Merisolar-Junbro’s Partnership

2017-05-19T03:55:57+00:00

Compact Pressurized Solar Geysers start to popular from 2008, this system was design by John from China, he’s the first man think of use the heat pipe to insert directly into the tank, so the system have very good performance. At that time, all clients from Europe just know the spilt pressure system( Solar collectors with pressure tank), that system is a good system but cost too high and heating lose is bigger than the compact pressure system.

John start to work in a solar water heater factory before and designed the system, after two years he left the factory and help lots of people to build factroies in our City,Changzhou. Four years ago John start to build his own factory for solar fittings, accessories, the factory named Junbro(https://www.junbro.com).He supply the customer best quality solar heating system accessories to help them with their welding and build good production line. Now Merisolar joined Junbor, these two factories cooperated with each other to supply high quality Solar Thermal Heating systems and fittings parts to factories in China, also did exported lots of fittings to oversea countries, like Mexico,Vitenam ,India also Romania

John has been worked in Solar heating area for 15 years, and have he has special design and thinking of each products,Merisolar’s products are all designed by John with different welding way and use different welding machines for our clients. For example for the Compact pressurized solar geysers, John deisgned 2.0mm 316L thickness inner tank with double side welding for our Australia Clients. That system cost higher than other products, but lift time is much longer than other suppliers. As we know Australia has  very good sunshine, such as Brisbane,Perth,Goldcoast. When i was at Brisbane in Auguest, it’s the winter time there, and the temperature also can goes on 20C in the day time, and in summer time the temperature can reach 40C, and the sunshine is every where. So we had to think of the pressure and temperature inside of the compact pressure tank, the P/TR valve easier open and release the hot water and steam, then cold water goes in, and twenty minuters later the PTR valve opened again, so the pressure inside the tank is Extreme instability, like we are doing the breaking test of the tank. So the clients have to find a good design and good products, or the system will very easy fail. The customer changed several suppliers and at last they choose us, now the system they bought from us already worked for 6 years and they all worked very well.

Now the worker’s salary rise up alot in China, so inorder to save the cost, Merisolar  designed new machines and use the machine instead of labour forces. So this helps us can supply with good quality products with competitive price.

See below our Auto punching machine and our compact pressure inner tank.

2017-05-17T03:26:09+00:00

Non-Pressurized Solar Water Heater

There are lots type of Solar Water Heaters, Non-Pressurized Solar Water Heater is the most common solar heating system, it is very popular in China, India, Mexico also some Europe countries.

The Non-Pressurized Solar Water Heater also have difference types, all stainless steel type and painted steel type. Fully Stainless steel solar water heater use SUS material to make the system, usually SUS304/316 for inner tank, SUS304 for out tank and SUS 201/304 for Frame. While painted steel(color steel) type usually use SUS304 to make inner tank, painted steel for outer tank. The only difference is outer tank material and frame material. But inner tank both Stainless Steel.

For different places clients should choose different Solar Thermal Water Heaters, for example, for inland place if the customer want the most economical solar water heater, they should choose the painted steel solar geysers. But for some city by the sea, the customer should go with the Stainless Steel system, otherwise the system will be easy rusted.

Merisolar makes best quality Solar Water Heaters for our clients, and can do OEM&ODM for our value customers. Which country has most solar capacity?

2017-05-03T07:50:22+00:00

By Lindsay Wilson on 27 February 2014

Shrink That Footprint

In 2013 China installed a record 12GW of solar power capacity, considerably more than Germany ever has in one year. I read stories about it all over the place. It was big news for renewable energy watchers.

What I didn’t read in any of those stories was that in the same year China installed about 40 GW of solar water heating capacity. You see solar hot water may be quite boring, but it still owns solar power in terms of installed capacity.

The Other Solar Energy: Solar Hot Water

For a little perspective let’s compare the global installed capacity of solar water heating (WH) and solar photovoltaics (PV).

In the graph above the blue line shows the growth of global solar water heating in GWth. The figures are only for glazed hot water systems from the Renewables 2013 Global Status Report. By 2012 around 70% the 255 GWth of global capacity was installed China. A testament to how cheaply China produces and installs solar hot water.

The red line shows the growth of solar PV. The sharp growth in installed capacity since 2007 reflects falling costs and growing enthusiasm for solar PV around the world. By 2012 total installed capacity was up to 100 GWe. You can see more about the data in our Top 10 Solar Countries post.

Although the scale is the same I’ve put the data for each on separate axes because thermal and electric capacity are not directly comparable. But lets not let that spoil our fun for a minute or two.

Solar Hot Water is Big in China

Instead why don’t we compare Chinese solar hot water capacity to all the solar PV installed globally by the end of 2012.

That’s quite a chart isn’t it?

By the end of 2012 all the solar PV capacity in the world totaled about 100 GWe. Meanwhile in China solar water heating capacity had reached roughly 178 GWth. The Chinese are seriously loving their vacuum tubes!!

It gets better. If you look at the combined capacity for solar water and photovoltaics China actually has about 20 GW more installed solar than the rest of the world combined. So much for Germany leading the world in solar?!

Mixing thermal and electric?

Now . . . if you are a bit of an energy wonk you’ll have been twitching from the start that not only am I mixing thermal and electric capacity but that I’m also comparing capacity rather than energy generated. Of course you’ve got a very good point, but I didn’t want to let that spoil the fun.

Lets deal with capacity first, for the whole world. 100 GWe of the solar PV is good for about 110 TWhe of electricity over a year. In contrast 255 GWth of capacity produces about 220 TWhth of hot water. So the amount of solar hot water energy produced globally is about double the amount of electric energy produced.

Now in terms of economic value it is clear that a kWh of heating is worth less than a kWh of electricity. How different that value is depends very much on the fuel displaced, the heating system efficiency and relative prices of local fuel and electricity.

All that aside, you’ve got to give it to the Chinese. That is a whole lot of cheap hot water!! It reminds me a little of their 200 million electric bikes no one knows about.

BBMP to install solar water heaters

2017-04-20T07:52:23+00:00

BANGALORE: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagrara Palike (BBMP) is gearing up to install solar water heaters in crematoriums and in its maternity hospitals. You may think what is the use of these eco-friendly water heaters in crematoriums? Some communities have the ritual of taking bath after burning the dead bodies of their family members on the crematorium premises. The Palike has taken up this project as there are instances of many people, particularly senior citizens seen shivering and feeling dizzy while taking bath in cold water after cremating the dead bodies.

In the first phase of this project, solar water heaters with the capacity of 300 liters will be installed in all the crematoriums and in the second phase solar water heaters will be installed in maternity hospitals of BBMP, to provide hot water for patients. There are 11 crematoriums under BBMP limits and 24 maternity hospitals.

AH Basavaraj, chairman of BBMP standing committee on ward level works said funds to install solar water heaters in crematoriums has been allocated on March 1, after the Lok Sabha elections works will be started. Plans to install solar water heaters in maternity hospitals are underway, he added.

He claimed that installation of solar water heaters in crematoriums is first of its kind in the state. Palike is spending Rs 1 lakh to each crematorium to install the solar water heaters. According to BBMP, on an average basis around 50,000 to 55,000 people die and around six bodies are cremated everyday in Bangalore.
